Let me give some details here about OSU. To those who are interested, I hope these details could be valuable enough to all of you. Enjoy reading it okay? :)

Some facts:

Currently, there are only 10 Malays, and all are boys. 9 scholars, 1 private. By next winter period, the private boy will graduate, and 1 more student will come. (He should have come this autumn period, but miss the flight because of the delayed visa application). So there would still be 10 of us by next winter.
By next year summer, 2010, there will only 7 seven left. Haha. 3 seniors will be graduating.
No girl students since 2001. (My senior said this, there had been no girls here for about 8 years dah, Haha)
1 graduate family. Both are good, both are studying, with 2 kids, and the wife is 'bertudung labuh', mantap. They would be here until 2011, kot.

Okay, that's about the Malay population here, the most updated one. Erm, let's talk about food:

You can walk just less than 10 minutes from your house, to buy halal meat; chicken, beef, lamb etc. Dan sume jenis rempah ade dijual di sini. About getting barang2 masakan, so you could feel just like home, you can get it all here. No worries.
Purdue ade jugak mcm ni (about daging halal lah). UIUC, kene turun either Purdue or Chicago to buy halal meat, it will take about one hour and half to do that. Wisconsin, Minnesota, lagi teruk, kene turun either Chicago or Purdue utk beli sume tu (3 hours and more). Penn State, mcm OSU jgak. About Iowa, I dont know.
Ayam for $22, boleh tahan sebulan utk 4 org lelaki satu rumah nih (rumah saye la, rumah mane lg kn). Jimat tak kalau mcm ni? Kalau about food, I think OSU is the best lah nk compare dgn tmpat2 laen. Jimat pn jimat, makan pon sodaapp.. Jd, duet2 lebeh tuh, boleh la nk pegi ke laen, kn?

Ape lagi, about weather, here is just fine, kalau psal uni laen, Wisconsin, (graduate student here tuh husband n wife, study undergraduate same2 dekat Wisconsin). Menurut beliau, die pernah rase 2 musim je bile belajar dekat Wisconsin, haha. Summer n Winter. Kat sane is extremely n extremely cold. Seriously mmg u all akn wait psal coldness nih kn nk pegi overseas. But seriously, it would not be enjoyful kalau the weather is so muchhh extremely cold, nanti terperap je dok dalam rumah, nak buat ape2 pn malas.

About sewa rumah, HAHAHA, OSU so far is the best too. Bapak mmg murah gile. My house, $710 kongsi 4 org. Kire mmg purate, tggal mane2 jenis rumah pn sorang around below $200 je. Iowa State $900 for 3 people, n tmpat2 laen quite mahal la jugak, nothing yg can compare dgn OSU nih, Tak pecaye tnye senior2 yg berkaetan di uni2 mereka. haha ok.

Pasal study, quarter? takde hal lah. kate student jpa sume pandai2. hehe. bg saya, lg best mcm ni. not too long n not too short. ikut org lah jugak. Saya yg jenis dont wanna get acquainted dgn satu satu subject tuh lame sgt. nt jd bosan nk ulangkaji balik, again n again for a long period of time (semester around 4 months kn) sekejap2 je sudehh. 10 weeks of studying is just nice. it makes u be focused, jd lg lbih rajin n no time to waste. kalau nak buang2 mase, tak payah dtg US lah kn? :) even so pn, still ade je lg mase free utk bnde2 laen. my seniors purate pn sume keje smbil study, 12 hours per week, 15 hours ke, n then they still could succeed in study. so, just nice lah kn. :) (btw, tak perlu risau pn psal quarter sbb nothing yg too different pn drpd semester, u'll get used to it)

ok ape lg nk ckp.. hurmM.. psal life la, its ok je hidup kat sini, bandar pn quite okay to compare to other unis (kalau yg new york sume tu xcampur la eh, hehe). actually downtown xbiase pegi pn, tp pegi town2 biase je, a lot of it. town2 biase nih xtau la pggil ape dlm bahse org us nih. kire everything mcm Walmart, Kroger, TJ Max n famous2 store kat US nih, nak jumpe die, kat town2 biase nih lah. n it is a lot of here yg mcm tu, dkat Morse Road, Cooke Road, Henderson Road, Bethel Road and etc. Walmart je kat area Columbus nih ade 6 - 7, so better la jugak kn dr Purdue, Penn State, Iowa yg 'agak' kampung gilorr tuh, hehe, kat mesia dh byk kampung pn, nak pegi kampung lg kan. :) tambah lg too lot of Malays there. about many Malays tuh, ade part yg best dn ade part yg tak best. but mostly, ape yg penting, kalau sikit2 pn BEST jugakk, hahah n ade faedah nye jugak. malas nk bgtau secare details, just it depends on individuals. :)

Ok lah tu je, da lame sgt dgn post nih, nk upload gmbar je dh berjam2. :) ape2 pn, its safe, comfort, warm and everything u hope for a good life, is there in Ohio State. n kalau psal ape2 pn nk mntak tlg, im here for u all. sume kire setel lah, sbb dah ade senior kn dr inti :) psal safety, u can barely see pak hitam pn kt sni, n white people here pn sume kind je, pegi kelas tggal rumah tak berkunci pn rilekk je.. haha :)

oh Pesanan Penting:

Kalau nk guaranteed admission. InshaAllah. senang je, as soon as result 4th sem kt inti keluar, terus apply (online application indeed kne lg awal setel sblum result kluar) and settle everything on materials (documents) yg die sruh hntar. If before bulan january nex year sume dh setel, jgn risau, you all akn dpat admission. Seriously, believe in me. OSU senang je nk dpat, cume u all kne get everything settled fast and tidy. n then ok je. :) strictly no more than after december this year, kalau x nt mungkin chance nk dpat admission akn jd lmbat, or xdapat.
JPA akn nk finalise kn uni yg korg nk pegi around May, so mmg sbaekny if u all can already make that decision kalau dh dpat admission awal.

btw, pics yg kt post bwah nih, kalau campus, its just 10% of the total area, xkan nk pegi sume tmpat kot kn, besar kot uni nih. :) n byk je lg building yg cntik2 yg not covered in this pics. yg gmbar2 nih diambil mase kiteorg kluar sejam lebih je dr umah, tgkap random pics (tgkap smbil jlan), utk promote kat anda2 sape2 yg berminat. haha. ok that's all. see u all soon! :)
